Jesus
Who is jesus?
Maybe you’ve heard about Jesus your whole life.
Maybe you’ve never really heard who He is.
Or maybe you know about Him, but you’re still wondering what it means to truly follow Him.
Jesus is the Son of God, Savior of the world, and King.
He came so that you could know God.
1. God Created You
You were created intentionally by God and made in His image.
You were created to know Him, love Him, worship Him, and walk with Him.
“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” — Genesis 1:27 NIV
You are not an accident.
You were created by God and for God.
2. Sin Separated Us From God
Every person has sinned.
Sin is turning away from God and choosing our own way instead of His. Because of sin, we are separated from the God who created us.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23 NIV
We cannot fix our sin by simply trying harder, being a good person, or doing enough good things.
We need a Savior.
3. God Made a Way
God did not leave us separated from Him.
Because He loves us, He made a way for us to be brought back to Him through Jesus.
Jesus lived the perfect, sinless life we could never live. He willingly took our place and carried the punishment our sin deserved.
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8 NIV
The cross shows us both the seriousness of sin and the incredible depth of God’s love.
4. Jesus Died for Our Sins
Jesus was innocent, yet He willingly gave His life for us.
He was crucified, died, and was buried.
“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.” — 1 Peter 3:18 NIV
Jesus died so that we could be forgiven and brought back to God.
5. Jesus Rose Again
Jesus did not stay in the grave.
Three days after His death, He rose again.
The tomb was empty.
“He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.” — Matthew 28:6 NIV
Jesus conquered sin and death.
He is alive.
And because Jesus lives, there is hope.
6. Salvation Is a Gift
You cannot earn salvation.
You don’t have to become good enough, clean yourself up, or fix everything before coming to Jesus.
Salvation is a gift of God’s grace.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” — Ephesians 2:8 NIV
We receive that gift by placing our faith in Jesus.
“Repent and believe the good news!” — Mark 1:15 NIV
Believe in Jesus.
Turn from your sin.
Trust Him.
Follow Him.
7. Come As You Are
Maybe you feel like you’ve messed up too much.
Maybe you think you need to get your life together first.
Maybe you have questions, doubts, fears, or things from your past that you don’t know how to let go of.
Jesus already knows.
He knows your past.
He knows your failures.
He knows your fears.
He knows every question you have.
And He still invites you to come.
“Whoever comes to me I will never drive away.” — John 6:37 NIV
You don’t have to become perfect before coming to Jesus.
Come as you are and let Him transform you.
8. Jesus Gives You New Life
Following Jesus isn’t simply about joining a religion.
It is about becoming new.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” — 2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV
Your past does not have to define you.
Your sin does not have to define you.
Jesus does.
When you follow Him, you begin a new life of knowing Him, walking with Him, loving God and others, and living for His Kingdom.
9. Jesus Is Lord
Jesus isn’t only our Savior.
He is Lord.
He is King.
Following Jesus means surrendering your life to Him and choosing His ways over your own.
“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” — Matthew 16:24 NIV
The invitation is simple:
Come.
Believe.
Repent.
Follow Jesus.
Give Him your life.
10. Jesus Is Coming Again
Jesus died.
Jesus rose.
Jesus is alive.
And Jesus is coming again.
He is King, and one day every knee will bow before Him.
“At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.” — Philippians 2:10 NIV
Our hope is not found in this world.
Our hope is found in Jesus.
What Will You Do With Jesus?
The Gospel isn’t just information.
It’s an invitation.
Maybe this is the first time you’ve truly heard who Jesus is.
Maybe you’ve known about Him for years but have never surrendered your life to Him.
Wherever you are, Jesus is inviting you to come.
You don’t need a perfect past.
You don’t need perfect words.
You don’t need to have everything figured out.
You need Jesus.
A Simple Prayer
If you’re ready to surrender your life to Jesus, you can talk to Him right where you are.
You don’t need perfect words. God cares about the heart behind them.
“Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I know I need You. Please forgive me, lead me, and help me follow You. I turn from my sin and give my life to You. I want to know You, love You, and walk with You. Thank You for loving me and making a way for me to know God. Amen.”
This prayer isn’t what saves you.
Jesus does.
Salvation is by God’s grace through faith in Jesus.
